COVID-19 continues to run rampant through this world and puts many - if not all - of our travel plans on hold. It poses the question as to which countries are going to be the most stable and the safest to visit after the pandemic slows to a stop. Below we have compiled a small list of some of the best places to visit when this is all over and some of the places you should consider avoiding for the time being.
Dominica (not to be confused with the Dominican Republic), as of July 24th 2020, had only 18 confirmed cases in the entire island country. Dominica was never really much of a tourism magnet, but all of that changed in 2019 when they opened a large luxury resort nestled in the lush and explorable island. Domnica is truly a haven for adventure and luxury-seekers alike featuring exciting eco-adventures and the Cabrits Resort & Spa Kepinski which is a 5-star resort featuring all kinds of services and facilities. Engage in some of the thrilling water-sports or simply relax and enjoy the professional massages and spa treatments that this resort has to offer.
Belize was another country with very few COVID-19 cases, making it our second on the list of countries that are moderately safe compared to other popular tourism places. Belize is definitely a hidden gem of the tourism world, and people are often surprised at just how much it has to offer. Boasting some of the most beautiful beaches and top-tier, world class scuba diving, you certainly won't be bored here. After you're done soaking up some sun on the beaches and in the water, you should consider taking a tour of the gorgeous nature reserves and national parks that are teeming with wildlife, including monkeys, parrots, toucans, jaguars, and more.
Besides Vatican City, Monaco is the smallest country in the world. However, it's more popular as a tourism spot than you would think. Due to their tax free status, luxury hotels, resorts, casinos, and proximity to the French Riviera, Monaco truly is worth a visit. Filled to the brim with luxurious places to stay, Monaco has many avenues worthy of indulging in. If you find yourself lucky enough to stay in the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel and Resort, you may also have the pleasure of waking up to view the gorgeous sunrise over the bay.
Places to avoid for now:
With over four million cases of the virus, the number one country you're going to want to avoid is the United States of America. Not only do they have the highest number of recorded cases in the world, but also many states are not even enforcing social-distancing or the use of masks. There isn't a single state in this country that hasn't been severely impacted by the pandemic. The USA doesn't seem to be on the path to recovery either, with more and more cases every day; the statistics are only going up as of July 25th, 2020. This is unfortunate due to the abundance of incredibly beautiful and worthwhile places to visit, but they can always be toured at a later date when this pandemic has slowed down to a trickle.
The country with the second highest infection and death rate would unfortunately be Brazil. We would recommend that for now you steer clear of this country until the virus has cleared out. In the future it's to be sure that Brazil will welcome all of us with open arms again to experience the diverse culture and celebrations that they hold dear.
Third on this list of places to avoid- for the time being- is India. With a current standing of roughly 1.3 million confirmed cases, India is not looking like one of the safest countries to visit for now. Hopefully, sooner rather than later, this virus will slow to a stop and this beautiful country can once again open its doors to the world and have everyone experience the enjoyment and diversity within.

Germany is a country filled with old world charm and new world comforts. It has a vast array of food, traditions, and attractions that make it an ideal destination for anyone with the desire to expand their horizons. Though it would take enough pages to fill several books to outline all the charms and wonders of Germany, listed below are just a few attractions that are sure to pull you in.
The Brandenburg was once created to divide Berlin and Germany but after the Cold War it became a renowned symbol of peace and cohesion. Nearly a million people a year come to set their eyes on this historic and beautiful structure. It is particularly popular in December and January for their famous New Year's Eve party that boasts a grand display of fireworks and music.
Rhine Valley River
Serving both purposes of beauty and necessity, the Rhine River is certainly a sight to behold. Connecting both Switzerland and the Netherlands, this body of water stretches for over 1,000 kilometers and is considered one of the continent's most important waterways. It's magnificence has long been the inspiration for artists of all kinds; from authors to musicians to painters alike. Take a journey on a picturesque river boat and gaze upon the dozens of striking castles and quaint towns as you cruise along in serene pleasure.
It would be a disservice to not mention the magnificent Neuschwanstein Castle. One of the most famous and well known attractions in all of Germany. This impressive and majestic structure seems as if it's straight out of a Disney movie; and that very well may be due to the fact Walt Disney himself visited Germany and gazed upon this very castle and used it as inspiration for several of his films.
Germany has a diverse and exciting culture that will broaden your imagination and excite all of your senses! Los Angeles is an incredibly large place, and albeit is beautiful and exuberating, it can be a daunting task tracking down the most exciting and luxurious shops and restaurants. Luckily, we've gone ahead and done that for you! Listed below are some of the most highly recommended restaurants in the greater Los Angeles area.
The first restaurant on our list is Perch: LA. This gorgeous restaurant is located right downtown Los Angeles and has a gorgeous and dreamlike rooftop lounge and bar. Perch:LA has an outdoor patio on the 15th floor of this highrise and an even more breathtaking patio on the rooftop of the 16th floor. Better yet, they are currently open as well as offering pick-up and delivery options. They have various COVID-19 protocols in place to keep you and the staff safe as you fine in at this fine establishment.Their menu consists of options for brunch, aperitif hour, dinner, late night, and of course, the bar.
Hosting two locations (Pizzana Brentwood and Pizzana West Hollywood) this pizzeria really stands out from the rest. Their gourmet pizzas blend traditional ingredients with meticulously chosen and unexpected surprises. They import flour from Italy and allow it to ferment and rest for 48 hours before preparing them to serve. This "slow dough" results in a light and airy crust that remains sturdy after baking. After adding their consciously sourced toppings it truly becomes the most delicious and perfected pizza. Their menu also features fresh salads and antipasta, and wood-fried vegetables. It's also worth noting that you should speak to your server about their great selection of wine and beer and their decadent dessert menu.
Bavel is a Middle Eastern restaurant with roots in Israel, Morocco, Turkey, and Egypt! Run by Chefs Ori Menashe and Genevieve Gergis, this downtown restaurant will definitely make your mouth water. Their menu consists of spreads, appetizers, entrees, desserts, cocktails and other delicious beverages. They also offer large group diners and special events featuring the cuisine and personal attention of both chefs. Not only is this restaurant worth visiting for their delectable cuisine, but it's also definitely worth mentioning that they founded a charity called FeedLoveLA, which provides fresh grocery and pantry items to the restaurant industry staff facing the greatest risk of becoming food insecure! Bavel is currently accepting reservations for dine-in in accordance with city guidelines.
Rossoblu is a fine dining restaurant with influence from both Italy and Los Angeles fine dining. The head chef, Steve Samson, spent many summers in Bologna which he draws much of his inspiration from. He runs the restaurant with his wife, Dina, and life-time friend, Hans Helming. As you'd expect, the menu flourishes with gourmet pasta selections and fine Italian and Californian wines. Their dessert menu is nowhere near lacking either, with options such as: Amaretto Ricotta Cheesecake, Pistachio Panna Cotta with blueberries, and delicious selections of sorbetti and gelati.
These are just a few of a very long list of restaurants worth visiting in LA. Here at Fly Largent we make it our business to offer you the best of the best.
