Highly recommended restaurants in Los Angeles (2020)

Los Angeles is an incredibly large place, and albeit is beautiful and exuberating, it can be a daunting task tracking down the most exciting and luxurious shops and restaurants. Luckily, we've gone ahead and done that for you! Listed below are some of the most highly recommended restaurants in the greater Los Angeles area.

Perch: LA

The first restaurant on our list is Perch: LA. This gorgeous restaurant is located right downtown Los Angeles and has a gorgeous and dreamlike rooftop lounge and bar. Perch:LA has an outdoor patio on the 15th floor of this highrise and an even more breathtaking patio on the rooftop of the 16th floor. Better yet, they are currently open as well as offering pick-up and delivery options. They have various COVID-19 protocols in place to keep you and the staff safe as you fine in at this fine establishment.Their menu consists of options for brunch, aperitif hour, dinner, late night, and of course, the bar.

Hosting two locations (Pizzana Brentwood and Pizzana West Hollywood) this pizzeria really stands out from the rest. Their gourmet pizzas blend traditional ingredients with meticulously chosen and unexpected surprises. They import flour from Italy and allow it to ferment and rest for 48 hours before preparing them to serve. This "slow dough" results in a light and airy crust that remains sturdy after baking. After adding their consciously sourced toppings it truly becomes the most delicious and perfected pizza. Their menu also features fresh salads and antipasta, and wood-fried vegetables. It's also worth noting that you should speak to your server about their great selection of wine and beer and their decadent dessert menu.

Bavel is a Middle Eastern restaurant with roots in Israel, Morocco, Turkey, and Egypt! Run by Chefs Ori Menashe and Genevieve Gergis, this downtown restaurant will definitely make your mouth water. Their menu consists of spreads, appetizers, entrees, desserts, cocktails and other delicious beverages. They also offer large group diners and special events featuring the cuisine and personal attention of both chefs. Not only is this restaurant worth visiting for their delectable cuisine, but it's also definitely worth mentioning that they founded a charity called FeedLoveLA, which provides fresh grocery and pantry items to the restaurant industry staff facing the greatest risk of becoming food insecure! Bavel is currently accepting reservations for dine-in in accordance with city guidelines.

Rossoblu is a fine dining restaurant with influence from both Italy and Los Angeles fine dining. The head chef, Steve Samson, spent many summers in Bologna which he draws much of his inspiration from. He runs the restaurant with his wife, Dina, and life-time friend, Hans Helming. As you'd expect, the menu flourishes with gourmet pasta selections and fine Italian and Californian wines. Their dessert menu is nowhere near lacking either, with options such as: Amaretto Ricotta Cheesecake, Pistachio Panna Cotta with blueberries, and delicious selections of sorbetti and gelati.

Dubai: The land of many wonders

Not many people in the world are aware of just how much Dubai has to offer in every aspect. This magnificent country is overflowing with incredible cultural and architectural wonders that will leave you breathless! Dubai is such a culturally rich country because the majority of the population are expats (people living outside their country) who integrate parts of themselves and their homelands into Dubai. This also gives you the sense that you are experiencing all different parts of the world in one single country! Below are some highly recommended attractions that you must visit in Dubai!

Burj Khalifa

Of course we must start with the Burj Khalifa. This landmark building is the tallest in the entire world, standing at 830 meters tall! This iconic, architectural masterpiece will give you an unprecedented view of the city and will be an experience unlike any other you've had. If heights aren't your forte, you can stroll through the magnificent and intricately designed gardens encircling the Burj Khalifa. In this area, the Burj Khalifa itself isn't the only landmark of great height! The Dubai Fountain is the tallest performing fountain in the world, and you can spend countless moments gazing at the dancing waterworks that twinkle magically in the daylight sun from the top of the Burj Khalifa or from the base of the fountain.

Dubai Mall

You won't have to travel far to get to the Dubai Mall as its doors also provide entry to the Burj Khalifa as well as the Dubai Aquarium. This mall has something for everyone from every age and will certainly impress you. From a cinema to a gaming zone to an ice-skating rink, this mall has it all. There are also a plethora of available options for cuisine and shopping. If you find yourself lucky enough to visit here during the months of January and February you will be able to partake in the lustrous Dubai Shopping festival, or if you are touring during the months of July and August you can experience the joys of the Dubai Summer Surprises!

Palm Jumeirah

Another crown jewel of Dubai would undoubtedly be the Palm Jumeirah. Located in the coastal area of the emirate of Dubai, the Palm Jumeirah is a man-made archipelago constructed in the resemblance of a palm tree. This gorgeous area is lined with luxurious villas, waterparks, beach clubs, five-star hotels, and countless other attractions. An aerial ride over the area is highly encouraged for it will absolutely take your breath away. There are a plethora of luxurious hotels available as well, but the most highly recommended hotel would be the Atlantis hotel. Home to exquisite restaurants featuring renowned chefs, and a wide range of entertainment and relaxation options, visiting this hotel is definitely bucket-list worthy.

Why should you travel the world?

Why should you travel the world? To some, this may seem like an obvious question with many obvious answers. But to many, it could be a question you may have asked yourself in the past but never really took the time to think anymore about it. Below are a few reasons why traveling is such a beneficial experience!

1) To strengthen bonds: Romance, family, and business.

Whether it’s with your partner, co-workers, or your family, traveling can have a profound impact on your relationships. Learning to travel together is an opportunity to learn things about each other and yourselves that you never knew before. It creates a circumstance where you need to rely on one another and connect in a way that generates a new appreciation for each other.

2) To challenge yourself

Traveling to a new country - especially one where the native language is not your own - can be a really challenging experience. Suddenly you’re thrust out of your comfort zone and into a new and unfamiliar world. Learning to navigate that is a testing but highly rewarding experience.

3) To develop new skills and languages

If you spend enough time in one place you will no doubt pick up some of the language of the land in which you are staying. Asking locals especially is a great way to learn about the culture, languages, and particular skills specific to those regions. More often than not, local residents are happy to encourage you and help you out.

4) To educate yourself

Learning about the culture and the people around you is a great way of expanding your abilities and understanding of how people work. This is beneficial in not just your business life but even your home and social life as well. Familiarizing yourself with the history and culture of the country you travel to will also give you a more meaningful and memorable travel experience.

5) To create new business ideas

Different countries have different needs; and where there is a need, there is an opportunity. Going to another country and experiencing life there for any amount of time will give you, at the very least, a glimpse into what life is like there. This will inspire innovative ideas that could do you, and the people residing there, a lot of good.

These are just a few examples on a very long list of reasons why traveling will do you a world of good; but don’t just take our word for it! Contact us today for a free quote on one of our spectacular private jets so you can get started on your world exploring journey!

5 ways to fulfill your traveling desires from home

COVID-19 has made travel all but impossible so far in 2020 and it has been disheartening to say the least. Many of us are itching to get out there and resume our traveling around the world and to our favorite corners of the world. However, until this pandemic dies down enough to ensure the safety of travellers and the influx of tourists, here are a few ways to satisfy your traveling desires!

1) Watch travel themed movies and tv shows

Living your life vicariously through someone else temporarily can be extremely cathartic. Movies and TV shows based on travel, food, and culture, can get you excited and motivated to start planning your next destination. There are countless shows and movies available through means of Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime, etc. For example, The World’s Most Extraordinary Homes , Street Food: Asia, and National Parks Adventure, are some recommended travel-related tv shows available on Netflix.

2) Read a book about a distant country

Transport yourself into a country beyond your own through the means of reading. Some of the world’s most intriguing novels are set in countries far away and the authors articulate the different wonders of other cultures and countries in a magical way that makes you feel like you’re really there. Some recommended options would be: The Book Thief - Markus Zusak, The Kite Runner - Khaled Hosseini, Life of Pi - Yann Martel, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo - Stieg Larsson.

3) Learn a new language

Learning a new language is arguably one of the best things you can do to prepare yourself for your trip! Entering into a new country that doesn’t speak your language as their mother tongue can be a daunting task. From making sure you’re getting to the right hotel, ordering exactly what you want off the menu, being able to haggle for that overpriced trinket you had your eye on, all of these things are made so much easier by being able to speak the language of the residents of the country you are visiting. This also increases the pleasurable experience because the majority of locals really appreciate when outsiders and tourists do their best to at least try and communicate in the main language that they speak. It shows that you are interested and respectful of their culture.

4) Create a travel-inspired bucket list

Now would be a good time to create a makeshift itinerary of all the things you want to accomplish on your future trip. Take the time to research the area in which you will be staying, learn the history and try and flush out the lesser known gems in the area. By browsing in greater detail the surrounding premises, you may be able to discover hidden restaurants, gardens, parks, and beaches that would have otherwise remained hidden to the general tourist population. Planning out in greater detail will also hopefully reduce the amount of snags you run into on your trip - particularly with the added implications of COVID-19.

5) Cook a meal inspired by other countries

Many have said that eating a home-cooked meal from their homeland makes them feel as though they're transported back home. By trying new dishes and learning how to create plates that are unique to particular countries and cultures, you can learn a lot about appreciating the culture and knowing what to expect from the cuisine there.

These are just a few examples of ways you can entertain yourself while you wait for the travel restrictions to lift! If you have any questions regarding a flight plan to your destination, please don't hesitate to contact us. We would love to help you! As always, we are standing by 24/7 to assist you in whatever you may need.
